MTS FISHING
MIKEY SCHUMACHER
Mikey Schumacher began his love for fishing at the ripe old age of 5. Since the first tug on the line when his face lit with excitement his mom and dad knew he was “hooked”. Mikey is on the Litchfield fishing team and appreciates every minute he gets to be on the lake with friends, family and teammates. He loves the outdoors… spending time at the cabin, 4 wheeling, hunting, and even a little swing of a golf club now and again. His parents are fully supportive of he and his sister who excels in gymnastics and also rides horse.
Mikey’s signature apparel… his pink crocs that he dedicates to family members and friends who have survived breast cancer. You rarely find him without them on!

What Others Say about Mikey

Jeremiah Heine
Mentor, Avid Fisherman
Mike Schumacher is a young up coming bass competitor in MN. He has a rare ability to read water, and structure, at a young age. His patience is incredible when it comes to slop fishing (waiting on fish with weight). Mike has progressed with his casting abilities, with baitcaster pitching, and flippin both directions. When Mike is pulling fish out the cheese, or slop, he never gives up using his pink crocs for leverage. Mike definitely has the bass addiction and strives to get better every day. With his family, and friends support, Mike will be a top competitor in MN High School and Collegiate levels. As long as his grades meet Ann’s (his mother) standards.

Since I met Mikey I noticed right away he was going be something special. Once I had him on the lake I realized he has a real appreciation, not just for the fishing aspect, but for his environmental surroundings too. His attention span was like nothing I’ve ever seen for somebody as young as Mikey. You see, his skills are put up there for somebody much older than he is and after I met his family thats when I realized why it’s so special. He’s got appreciation not just for the outdoors and fishing, but for life itself and great respect for people around him. I’m proud to know Mikey and I can’t wait to see him grow.
